1. Will  the Hot Licks Exhaust Inc. kit work on E.F.I. (electronic fuel injection) cars, trucks, or motorcycles?
2. Is flame throwing dangerous?
3. Is it hard to install the flame thrower kit?
4. Will this kit work on single or dual exhaust?
5. Will shooting flames damage my engine?
6. Will shooting flames burn my vehicles paint or tires?

Q: Will  the Hot Licks Exhaust Inc. kit work on E.F.I. (electronic fuel injection) cars, trucks, or motorcycles?
A: Yes it will work on almost any E.F.I. car, truck, or motorcycle without a catalytic converter. Catalytic converters burn off gasses the motor doesn't burn therefore there is nothing to burn at the end of the tailpipes. You can remove the catalytic converter or hollow it out if you have one, but there are laws in some states that require you to have a properly working catalytic converter on your vehicle. There are fines for not meeting these laws so due your homework before you tamper with your catalytic converter.

Q: Is flame throwing dangerous?
A: As with anything use your head. Make sure no one is behind your vehicle when you shoot flames or else they might get in the way of the flame. Also your pipes will be very hot right after you get done shooting flames so make sure no one brushes their leg up against the tailpipe. Never shooot flame within 500 feet of a gas staion, gas cans, propane store etc.

Q: Is it hard to install the flame thrower kit?
A: No, it takes about  4 hours for an average install, and very easy to follow detailed instructions are included.  You can call us at 1-850-473-0465 if you have any tech questions before or after you buy a kit.

Q: Will this kit work on single or dual exhaust?
A: YES ! Each kit is designed to work on single or dual exhaust. Just choose which type of kit you need!

Q: Will shooting flames damage my engine?
A: No. Installing the kit on your car and shooting flames will not damage your engine.  As with any aftermarket modification the more you use something the more chance there is of wear and tear.  We suggest you use the flames for a few seconds at a time and take breaks.  Don't rev your engine and shoot flames repeatedly for 10, 20, 30 seconds straight etc. without taking short breaks.

Q: Will shooting flames burn my vehicles paint or tires?
A: 99% of the time you do not have to worry about this. Keep in mind that when you shoot flames the flames do not stay on constantly like a lighter or a torch. The flames will shoot out in short 1-3 second burst. That being said the more you use the flames without taking breaks the more heat you will build up and the more there is a chance you could damage the paint. Just use your head and wait a few seconds in between each time.

Q: Will this kit shoot 30 foot flames like I see on the internet and at car shows?
A: This kit is the major foundation for shooting flames from 1 foot to 30 feet. If you are not happy with the size of your flames you can build an injection system using our mega flames injection plans for long flames . This type of system is not for the timid and is very serious. Our basic kit will give you 1-4 foot flames on average.  If a company says you can get 10, 20, or 30 foot flames with a kit they are being deceptive and aremaking false claims. Q: Will the Hot Licks Exhaust Inc. kit work on motorcycle's?
A: Yes, motorcycles work great provided they do not have a catalytic converter. Sometimes baffled exhaust pipes on motorcycles can cause inconsistent flames and even no flames. Open pipes work the best, but we do have bikes withbaffles that get nice flames. Please e-mail us to make sure your motorcycle has the proper setup to use the kit before ordering.

Q: Do I need to buy coils, spark plugs and spark plug wires?
A: NO,NO,NO,NO,NO! Hot Licks Exhaust flamethrower kits come 100% complete ready to install with small easy to hide solid state professionally manufactured control module/s that operate the whole system.  All other kits on the market require you to buy additional parts and install large bulky old fashion coils that can leak because they are oil filled.

Q: I saw or heard somewhere that all you have to do to get flames is hook a switch up to the battery and some spark plugs in the exhaust! Will that work?
A: No. It doesn't work and you can literally blow your mufflers up like a stick of dynamite! There's a lot more to it.

Q: Is it illegal to shoot flames? In my state?
A: To date there are no laws on the books for any where in the USA stating that flamethrowers are illegal to use . Check the laws in your State to be sure. That being said we recommend that shooting flames is strictly for off-road use only and never to be done on public or private property unless it is your property.

Q: Will I get flames like the movie "American Griffiti", Gone in 60 seconds" , or "The Fast and the Furious"?

Q: What do I do if I can't get the kit to work?
A: Each kit has a troubleshooting section, but if you still need help you can e-Mail us or call us directly at 1-850-473-0465. Hot Licks Exhaust Inc. offers a lifetime warranty on the electronic parts in the kit because they are high quality and we stand behind our product. If you think you have faulty parts call us first for some tech help and we will get you working.

Q: How can this kit work with out choking the carburetor?
A: There is generally enough gas the motor does not burn to get flames without using a choke.

Q: Do you warranty your product?
A: Yes! A lifetime warranty is offered with each kit. Most all flame thrower kit manufacturers selling kits today only offer a 30 day warranty. That should tell you the quality of their kit if they will only back it for 30 days.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: All kits have a lifetime warranty against manufacture defects. Kits that have not been installed and that are returned within 14 days of receipt in original condition will be given full refund minus shipping cost and a 15% restocking fee.
